Leave No Trace

Pack in and pack out all of your own garbage.

Pets

Dogs are allowed on leash only. This policy may be different for special events. If you have questions, please inquire. Be aware that there are alligators and other predators on the property, and you are at your own risk. Owners who do not maintain their dog on a leash will be asked to leave.

Wildlife

The Woodlands Nature Reserve is home to many native species of animals, birds and insects. Please do not touch or feed the wildlife while you enjoy and observe our local creatures. We recommend keeping your tent cabin door closed and food secured to help avoid any unwanted visitors. If you have any questions or concerns during your stay, please contact us. For the safety of all guests and resident creatures, fishing and hunting are NOT allowed on the property.
Wildlife is for OBSERVATION only. NO fishing in the lakes.

No Drone Zone

Drones are prohibited at Woodlands Nature Reserve in the airspace over the property to prevent any stress on sensitive wildlife and migratory birds, because of frequent and unsafe wind speeds, seasonal high fire danger and to prevent any impact on another guest’s experience or privacy.

Fire Safety

Only use established fire pits for your campfire. Due to the risk of wildfires, we ask you to closely observe and carefully tend to any campfires: NEVER LEAVE A CAMPFIRE OR OPEN FLAME UNATTENDED. Fire regulations dictate that there be no candles or open flame of any kind in any accommodation. Do not bring firewood from outside of the property.
