Join us on Sunday, April 25th at The Woodlands Nature Reserve for Brass in the Woods. Enjoy the bold sounds of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet with some of their popular hits on the grass with a forest backdrop.


Bring your picnic baskets, coolers, blankets and chairs, and spend the afternoon with us. After the concert enjoy the sunset over the lakes, or bring your bikes and kayaks for some relaxed exploring.


As you enter the reserve you will be directed to convenient parking, then a short stroll to the concert site. Handicap accessible parking available (please note: ALL terrain is grass or gravel, with no asphalt or concrete surfaces).

​Is this event family friendly?

100%! Brass in the Woods offers access to the reserve for a late afternoon concert and a lakeside sunset stroll or picnic. Dogs on leash are welcome. This is NOT a drive-in event. Cars will park along Tram Road. Guests are invited to stroll, play at the playground, walk around the lake, or even put in your own kayak or paddle board. Bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, coolers, etc. See below for more details on things to bring/not bring. 


How are tickets priced? 

Tickets are per person. $20 per person for guests 12 and up, and $5 for kids 5-18. 


What Covid safety measures are in place to ensure everyone’s safety?

All activities are outdoors with plenty of space to spread out and social distance. Masks are encouraged. Please respect social distancing when picnicking and visiting concessions. We have lots and lots of space, and this event will be relaxed and casual.  


Arriving & Parking  

Entry is located just via the main entrance to Woodlands Nature Reserve at 4279 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414. Gates to the property will open by 3pm.  Proceed straight, and park perpendicular along the right side of Tram Road.  


​What kind of bathrooms are available at Brass in the Woods?

Portable bathrooms and hand-washing stations will be available, including handicap accessible portable toilets. 


Will there be food and drinks available?

We will offer healthy snacks and treats from our concessions trailer. Cards preferred, cash accepted.
