Forest foraging tours

Biologist and naturalist, Brian Wheat, will take you on this unique AirBnB experience, exploring the forest, foliage and undergrowth of the secluded areas of The Woodlands Nature Reserve. Brian will point out the useful, wild and whacky plants of this fascinating area, and leave you with a sense of wonder and a new appreciation for all the usually-unnoticed nature. You'll start at the main entrance with an introduction to the area, and then head into the forest for a causal meander of discovery. Walking shoes, hydration, sunscreen and insect-repellent recommended. Advanced booking required here

Horseback tours

Ride with our nearby partners at Middleton Place. No experience is necessary for the Middleton Equestrian Center's approximately one hour guided, narrated horseback riding tours in the heart of the historic district along the Ashley River. For more information, book your tour here.
